xAssets free IT Asset Management Software (ITAM) serves as a powerful entry point for businesses looking to implement ITAM. There are limitations: some modules are disabled, and the free edition is licensed for one user, 100 discovered endpoints, and 1,000 assets in total. We don't count SNMP kit as consuming a discovery license, so the 100 endpoints are usually Windows, Mac and UX devices.

Yes ! The free edition does not have adverts, nag screens, popups, or any other annoying features. You can use the software free of charge for as long as you like and get some great benefits from it.

• Although discovery will discover software and you can report on installed software titles, the software asset management functions to match against licenses purchased are disabled
• For mapping assets on a google map, you must provide a google map key (these can be free if you don't use the map too much)

Upgrades

You can upgrade to the Professional or Enterprise editions at any time to access additional features and capabilities or to license more assets and users. There is no obligation to upgrade, and you can continue using the free edition indefinitely. If you choose to upgrade, all we need to change is a license file within your instance, all data and configuration is preserved.
