What Can Be Configured Overview
The xAssets user interface is assembled from a small set of configurable building blocks. Every screen you see is constructed from combinations of these entities:
| Entity | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Menu Items | Navigation links and action commands throughout the UI |
| Dashboards | Home pages and functional area landing pages with charts, tables, and links |
| Forms | Data entry screens, dialogs, and page layouts |
| Queries | Data lists, charts, exports, and reports |
| Search Results | Search-specific queries that accept the user's search text as a parameter |
| Profiles | Functional views (e.g., IT Asset Management, Fixed Asset Management) that filter menus and data |
| Specification Data | User-defined custom fields added to asset records and other tables |
The following pages show where each entity appears on screen and how it can be configured.
