Configurable Profiles

Profiles are used to separate different functional areas or roles.

The current profile is shown at the top of the mainscreen ("IT Asset Management" in the below example):

Clicking the profile link opens a dialog which allows users to change profile.

For example, the Fixed Asset Management profile would list all assets but would not list IT specific or Fleet Specific data, and the menu items would be specific to fixed asset management, barcoding, and asset accounting:

The IT Asset Management profile would list the functions needed by an IT Manager responsible for Inventory, Contract Management, Storage, Spare Parts, and Risk Management, and would only list IT related assets and contracts:

Profiles are configured by creating or editing "Profile" from Admin > Menus > Profiles.
